THE NJROTC LEADERSHIP & ACADEMIC BOWL (JLAB)
2024 - 2025 The NJROTC Leadership & Academic Bowl (JLAB) is a prestigious national competition designed exclusively for JROTC cadets. It tests both leadership and academic skills through a series of competitive rounds, culminating in the Level III JLAB Championship held at Catholic University. All of our cadets are welcome to join this team and represent they NNDCC Worthing Program.

Leadership Category:

Focuses on the JROTC curriculum.

Tests knowledge on JROTC principles, general Leadership Education Training (LET) level questions, and Thinking Maps.

Includes practice for standardized tests like the ACT and SAT.

Covers coursework in English, Science, and Math.

Team Composition

Each team consists of six cadets: four primary members and two alternates.
-
Seniors are not allowed to participate, and cadets cannot be on both the leadership and academic teams.

Freshmen are not eligible for the leadership team.
Overall Purpose
JLAB aims to foster the values of citizenship, leadership, academic excellence, and provide college opportunities for JROTC cadets. It is the largest high school academic competition of its kind in the United States, bringing together hundreds of students for a challenging and enriching experience

The Practice Test is online and is open to ALL JROTC cadets, not just team members. Encourage all your cadets to participate by signing up and creating their own account at cofcontests.com. Signing up for an account gives every student access to our award-winning college prep software - Total College Success.
The Practice Test is comprised of 25 questions from a bank of 50 questions and is available on the instructor and student dashboards through February 15, 2025. Cadets may take the Practice Test as many times as they would like.

If a cadet created an account last year, they will Sign In using the same login information: email and password. If they do not remember the password they created, they can go to Sign In and click 'Forgot Password'. As an instructor you can also change their password under your dashboard > click Students > click the 3 dots and change the password

If a cadet did not create an account last year, they may create an account by clicking on Sign Up and following the prompts.
We encourage all cadets to sign up for their own account and participate in the Practice Test.
