Who are the courses instructors?
Our course instructors at NNDCC bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our program. One of our esteemed instructors is Mr. Hayes, a retired 30-year veteran of both the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy. His extensive military background provides our cadets with valuable insights into leadership, discipline, and the practical aspects of military life. In addition to Mr. Hayes, our teaching team includes dedicated professionals with years of experience in the educational field, such as a teacher who has served HISD for seven years. Together, they create a dynamic and nurturing learning environment where our cadets can thrive academically, personally, and in preparation for their future goals. Our instructors are committed to helping each cadet reach their full potential and succeed in their chosen paths, whether that be in higher education, the military, or their careers

What kind of things will I as a parent be responsible for because my cadet is in a NNDCC and not a normal NJROTC?
As a parent of a cadet in the NNDCC program, you will have certain responsibilities that come with supporting your child's unique educational journey. While NNDCC shares similarities with traditional NJROTC programs, it also offers additional opportunities and pathways. You may be responsible for ensuring that your cadet actively participates in program activities, including drills, physical fitness training, and leadership development. Additionally, staying engaged with your cadet's progress, attending program events, and supporting their academic and career aspirations will be crucial. It's important to maintain open communication with the NNDCC staff, attend parent meetings or conferences, and provide any necessary support to help your cadet thrive in this specialized program. Ultimately, your active involvement will play a significant role in your cadet's success and personal growth within the NNDCC.
